Applies To

Segments allow you to create targeted customer lists based on specific filters such as interaction history, personal details, tags, custom data, or broadcast delivery status.

With saved segments, you can use them anytime for any broadcast without the hassle of creating filters or conditions again and again for new broadcasts.

Procedure

  1. In the left-hand navigation menu, go to Customers → Segments.

Previewing Your Target Audience

You can also get the count for the targeted customers who fall under your added filters and conditions by clicking on the Get the count option. This helps verify targeting before saving the segment.

If you added a new condition, click on Refresh the count to get an updated count for it.

Note: The refresh count on broadcast is not real-time. Generally, it requires an hour for any new customers added to reflect the data on the broadcast end.

Saving the Segment

  1. Once you have added your filters and conditions, click on Save to store the details of your created segment.
  2. Once you have saved your segment, you will find it under the segments page.

From here, you can:

  • Edit - Modify filters, conditions, or name.
  • Delete - Remove the segment permanently.
  • Export -  Download the customer list in CSV format.

Note: Avoid editing segments that are currently being used in active broadcasts, as this will change the target audience while the broadcast is running.
