How to unassign a phone number from a Virtual Agent?

Procedure

  1. Try disconnecting the virtual agent’s phone number, located under Phone Settings.
  2. If the above step fails:
  • Duplicate the faulty agent in AI Studio so you can use this agent/flow in the future.
  • Delete the original faulty agent from AI Studio.
  • Go to the Dashboard >> Applications and verify that the phone number previously assigned to the faulty virtual agent is no longer linked to any applications.
  • If the number is free, assign the duplicated agent to that phone number.
  • Finally, double-check in the API Dashboard to ensure the number is linked to the correct application and agent.
