What to do when you receive the ‘429’ error or would like to increase your Rate Limit?

Answer
All outbound calls and sessions are now limited to 1 per second. To increase your outbound limits to either 3 or 5 calls/sessions per second; you will need to upgrade to the Advanced plan mentioned here: ai-studio/pricing, UNLESS you are a managed customer of Vonage.
This is because monthly you will exceed the standard plan number of sessions per month (10K sessions/month limit), therefore we will need you to upgrade your studio account to be able to potentially handle a higher number of sessions per month.
Once you complete the above please reach out to AI Studio support on this email; support@aistudio.vonage.com or submit a form here; requests/new with the following details:
- Account API key
- Agent ID(/s)
- Would you like to increase the limit to 3 or 5 calls per second?
- How many outbound calls are you planning to make?
- Please also specify the duration for these outbound calls.
- Is it possible to republish this agent(/s) once the rate limit has been adjusted?
- Reason for call limit request: Is this a short term campaign or something else?
The more details you provide the easier it would be for us to assess your account and check if a higher rate limit can be applied.
