Setting up Click to WhatsApp Ads

Click-to-WhatsApp ads are a great way for businesses to connect with their customers and drive more engagement and sales through WhatsApp.
Click-to-WhatsApp ads are a type of Facebook advertising format that allows businesses to place ads on Facebook or Instagram that, when clicked on, will open a conversation with the business on WhatsApp. This ad format is designed to make it easy for businesses to connect with their customers on WhatsApp.
To enable Click to WhatsApp Ads, first, you need to link your WhatsApp Business (WABA) number under Facebook Page Settings >> WhatsApp.
Step 1: Click on Settings, under your Facebook page.
Step 2: Now click on WhatsApp.
Step 3: Here, provide your WhatsApp business (WABA) number which is connected to Jumper.ai, then click on the Continue button.
Step 4: Once connected, your WhatsApp number will be displayed along with options to change & disconnect.
You will also find other options such as WhatsApp account Page settings, where you can enable your WhatsApp as action button & show your WhatsApp number on your page if required.
Note: In case you cannot connect your WhatsApp business number or do not have access to your WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) account, contact your Account manager or Vonage support team/CSMs.
There are two ways to enable a bot flow for your click to WhatsApp Ads, i.e. Set as auto start & Automate responses.
Via Set as auto start (Single bot)
In this method, you can enable a single bot for user interaction.
Once you have enabled a WhatsApp-specific bot to Set as auto start, then if a user interacts with your WhatsApp ad, the default flow of the auto-enabled bot will be triggered for the user.
Note: Make sure your bot is auto-enabled for WhatsApp.
Via Automate Responses (Multiple bots)
In this method, you can enable multiple bots for user interaction by adding the respective training phrases.
First, you need to set up Automated Responses under Jumper.ai by assigning phrases, then use the phrases under your Click to WhatsApp Ads FAQs to trigger the automated responses.
Once you have set up your Click to WhatsApp Ads using FAQs, then if a user interacts with your WhatsApp ad & clicks one of the FAQs, the automated response for the respective phrase will be triggered.
Follow the below steps to configure your WhatsApp ads.
- To get started, first, go to your Facebook setting >> All tools >> Ads Manager.
- Click on the +Create option under campaigns.
- Now select the objective for the Ad, as Engagement.
- Set your Campaign name & click on Next.
- Now select Messaging Apps option under Conversion & click on Next.
- Now, select your Facebook page & enable your connected WhatsApp account under Messaging Apps.
Note: Make sure you only select WhatsApp.
Then add your other details like Budget & schedule, Audience, Location, Languages, Placements, etc, & click on the Next option.
Under Call to Action select Send WhatsApp message option.
- Now set up your Identity, Ad setup, and Ad creative settings, then on the Message template select the Start Conversations option then click on Edit.
- Now in the edit template, you can set up your Ad, according to the 2 methods below.
In case you have enabled a WhatsApp bot as Set as auto start, then just add your greeting text for your Click to WhatsApp Ads.
Now when a customer engages with your Ad, the auto-enabled bot will be triggered.
Greeting Text with FAQs
In case you want to add FAQs for your Click to WhatsApp Ad, set up your training phrases under Jumper.ai’s Automate Responses for WhatsApp.
Note: You need to set up different automated responses under Jumper.ai for each FAQ.
Then add the phrases under your FAQs for WhatsApp ads.
Now, when a user interacts with the added training phrases such as Click to WhatsApp Ads Demo or Prebooking, then it will trigger the response setup under Automate responses.
Note: You can add up to 5 FAQs.
- Once you have verified all the settings as per your business requirements click on Publish, & Done!
