Limited-Time Offer (LTO) Templates:
Limited-time offer templates allow you to display expiration dates and run countdown timers for offer codes in template messages, making it easy for you to communicate time-bound offers and drive customer engagement.
A LTO template consists of five sections.

Each LTO template consists of a message body text, and 2 mandatory buttons (Copy code + URL).
Limitations

Only templates categorized as MARKETING are supported.

Footer components are not supported.
- The template is visible only on the mobile app, not on the web or desktop.
- Mandatory 2 CTA buttons (COPY CODE + URL)
Use Cases for Limited Time Offer Coupon Code Templates:
Boosting Sales and Urgency:
Product launches: Generate excitement around new product releases by offering exclusive discounts to early adopters.
Seasonal sales: Drive sales during peak shopping seasons like Black Friday or Cyber Monday with limited-time offers.
Flash sales: Create a sense of urgency and encourage impulsive purchases with short-lived discounts.
Limited-stock promotions: Promote limited-quantity items with unique LTO codes, highlighting scarcity and driving faster decision-making.
Promoting slow-moving inventory: Clear out stagnant stock by offering temporary price reductions.
Cross-Sell and Upsell: Offer time-sensitive discounts on complementary or upgraded products to boost sales.
Event Promotions: Promote limited-time discounts for events, webinars, or product launches happening soon.
Enhancing Customer Engagement:
Birthday and anniversary promotions: Make customers feel valued by sending them personalized discount codes for their special occasions.
Rewarding loyal customers: Show appreciation to frequent buyers with exclusive deals and discounts.
Early access codes: Reward loyal customers with early access to new products or services through exclusive LTO codes, fostering a sense of exclusivity and appreciation.

Procedure
- First Navigate to Sales channels >> WhatsApp in the menu.
- Click on the Message Templates tab under WhatsApp.
- Now click on the Create New button to get started with creating a WhatsApp LTO template.
- Now provide a name for your template. Ensure your naming convention uses underscores (“_”) instead of spaces, and the template names should only contain lowercase alphanumeric characters. (e.g. promo_sale). Select the template as Marketing.
- Select a language for your template and select the Template type as LTO (Limited-Time Offer) from the dropdown list.
- Now on the Header section, you can add a Text/Image/Video or File for your message template. The header is an optional section, which you can skip by selecting None.
If you want to add a text message for your header section, select Text in the dropdown list and add your text in the input box. The character limit for the text is 60.
If you want to add Image/Video/File formats for your header section, select any options between Image/Video/File formats and upload your sample file for the template. The maximum size limit for an image is 5 MB, for video and file it is 10 MB.
After your sample image is uploaded, you will see the text Sample image uploaded text. - Add the offer title & select an option between Yes/No to set an expiry date for the offer. In case you choose to enable the expiry option for the template, select expiration Date & time for the same.

In the body section, add your text for the template.
Text with Variables:
In the text field of the body section, you can insert multiple variable options from the list of provided variables - User’s First Name, Store Name, Agent Name, Account Owner Name, Support Email, Support Phone, Outlet Address & Custom field. To insert a variable, click the ‘insert{...}’ option and add your required variable.
Let's say you added a variable User’s First name in your text message, the customers will receive a message along with their saved First names in your created message template.
Note: The character limit for the text field in the body is 1024.
Buttons:
You will find 2 CTA (call to action) buttons, added to your LTO template by default, as these buttons are mandatory for an LTO template. The first is an Offer code button & the second is a URL button.
Once the Copy Offer Code button is selected, the <COUPON_CODE> will be populated as the default during configuration. You can then input the actual coupon code, such as “PROMO30” when sharing the template with your customers via Broadcast, Live Chat or Bot Builder, or Automate Responses,
Note: Currently button name cannot be edited for the Copy Offer code.
Under the URL button, click on Open a website option, add the name for your button (e.g. Visit Site) select your URL type between Static & Dynamic, then provide a link for the URL in the input field & click on Submit.
Note: It is important to note that the Dynamic URL feature allows for the incorporation of a post URL utilizing a single variable ({{1}}) at the end of the URL, subsequently, the remaining portions of the URL can be appended when shared with a customer under Live Chat, Broadcast, Automate Responses or Bot Builder.
- Once you are done adding your details, for the template, click on the Save button.
Note: Always double-check before saving your template, as it will be forwarded to WhatsApp for review purposes and cannot be altered once saved. - You can check the status of your added templates under the STATUS column on the WhatsApp message templates page.
- Now while sharing the template with your customer under the Live chat, click on the copy offer code button to add the coupon code. (E.g. “PROMO30”), then click on Save.

Broadcast LTO template with Unique codes:
To broadcast your LTO template with unique codes for your customers follow the below steps:
- First Navigate to Automations >> Broadcast in the menu.
- Now set a name for your Broadcast and select WhatsApp in Messaging Channels.
- Now under Create message, select the created LTO template (e.g. promo_sale).
- Now click on the copy offer code button to add the coupon code.
- Under Enter a coupon code, type the variable tag as “<custom_field_uniquecode>”, then click on Save.
- Under Settings, select the option for targeting By uploading a CSV file with contacts.
- In your CSV file with contacts, add a new column named “uniquecode”, under this column provide the unique codes for each of your customers and then upload a CSV file.
- Under Scheduling, select the period for your broadcast then click on Save & Send.
