Question
How can I be notified about pricing changes on my account?
Applies To
- Notifications
- Pricing
- Vonage API Dashboard
Answer
Enable your Price Notification settings in order to be notified via email about price changes impacting your account.
We are in the process of building a new notification tool; right now, we are in the middle of migrating all products from the legacy tool to the new tool. During this transition period, we have both tools available to use in the "Settings" > "Notifications" page of your dashboard.
- Legacy tool is under the ‘Pricing Update’ section
- New tool is under the ‘Subscription Configuration’ section
‘Pricing Update’ Section (Legacy Tool)
Subscribe here if you wish to receive price notifications for;
- SMS Outbound
- Voice Outbound
- Verify V1
- Number Insights V1
- MMS
To enable these price notifications, populate the email address(s) that you would like to receive the price notifications under “Email(s) for account:”, and click “Save Changes”. Multiple email addresses must be comma separated.
You can either use the same email address(s) for the master key as well as all the sub-keys; or you can select individual email address(s) for specific sub-keys by unticking the box “Use for all accounts” and populate the email address(s) for each sub-account.
‘Subscription Configuration’ Section
Subscribe here if you wish to receive price notifications for:
- All remaining API usage-based products, including but not limited to; Video, Meetings API, In-app Messaging, Conversation, SIM Swap, Fraud Defender, Reports API, and Number Verification, as well as Number Recurring Charge.
Subscribing to price notifications here will mean you will receive email notifications for any custom price change that impacts your account. To stay up to date with our Vonage default pricing, please refer to our website pricing directly.
To view any current price notification subscriptions:
- Under “Subscription Configuration”, expand the “Pricing” section
- All price notification subscriptions will be visible

To create a new price notification subscription:

- “Subscription Name” > optional, name the subscription to help identify it later. Helpful if you have multiple subscriptions
- “Destination”* > Populate the email address(s) that should receive the price notification emails. Please provide just 1 email per box. To add more email addresses, use the “+” button
- Click “Save”
To edit a subscription at any time
- Under “Subscription Configuration”, expand the “Pricing” section
- Scroll to the subscription you want to edit
- Toggle the “Enable” button on or off to either enable or disable the whole subscription
- If this is purple, the subscription is enabled. If it's grey, the subscription is disabled
- Or click the “Pencil” icon and edit the subscription using the fields described above
- Or click the “Bin” icon to delete the subscription completely.
- Note: Once deleted, it cannot be restored. You will have to create a new subscription
Other items to consider:
-
Advanced Notice Periods (ANP)
- If you have an ANP defined with Vonage, for example you are notified 7 days prior to any price change, then your price notifications will be turned ON by default.
- You will not be able to disable or delete the notification subscription.
- You will still be able to edit the subscription to amend the user email addresses
-
Opting Out
- If you delete or disable your price notifications subscriptions, you will receive email confirmation of the change, and will no longer receive notifications about price changes on your account
-
Price notification subscriptions must be configured on your main-account and sub-account(s) individually.
- If you create/edit a subscription on your master-account, this will NOT automatically apply to your sub-account(s). You must select your sub-account(s) on the left hand bar (screenshot), then navigate to the “Notifications” section again, and then create/edit any pricing subscriptions for the selected sub-account
- Any price changes on your master-account will trigger the notification subscription you have set up on the master-account. Any price changes on your sub-account(s) will trigger the notification subscription set up on the sub-account(s).
- We are continually working on an improvement to this logic; stay tuned for updates
