CLI
As regulatory obligations, the Hong Kong Regulator requires carriers in Hong Kong to overwrite the calling party CLI for all international inbound fixed calls to Hong Kong, and supersede the CLI by an identifier to enable inter-operator interconnection charging. The terminating carrier in Hong Kong will not be display this identifier to called party, depending on the customer equipment, the call may display as “international call”, “unidentified caller”, etc and no CLI displayed on the device.
