Question
What do "Total" and "Successful" mean on the SMS Analytics page of the dashboard?

Answer
Total: the number of SMS requests submitted by your account that were received and accepted by Vonage.
Successful: the number of messages that were successfully passed out of Vonage's platform to the downstream carriers.
Note that Successful is not the same as Delivered. A message counted as Successful has left Vonage's platform but may still fail, expire, or be rejected at the carrier level.
