Prerequisites

Before connecting your WhatsApp Business Account to Jumper.ai Dashboard, you will need the following:

  • You must have access to your business Vonage Account, via the Vonage API Dashboard Vonage API Dashboard
  • If you are a direct customer, i.e. you will be using WhatsApp for your own business’s usage, then you should complete the creation of the WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) using Embedded sign-up.
  • If you are creating a WhatsApp Account on behalf of another business, for example as a Partner or Billing Agent, you’ll need to use Managed Onboarding Process and kick start by completing Vonage’s Application Form.
  • If you get stuck at any point during the WABA onboarding process, please reach out to your Account manager, Customer Solution Architect (CSA), or Partner Manager.
  • You will need to create an application on the Vonage API Dashboard after the above WABA onboarding process is completed and WhatsApp Business Account is connected to your Vonage API account and linked with the Phone Number.

  • Jumper leverages Vonage Messages APIs for WhatsApp. Refer here to understand WhatsApp, coverage, rate limits, and other technical specifications.

After the connection has been established, send one outbound and one inbound test message to ensure the connection is working properly and that messages are being sent and received successfully, before proceeding with bulk messaging.

Disconnecting the Channel or Updating the Private Key

  1. To disconnect or to connect a new WhatsApp application, simply click on the Disconnect option & reconnect to the new application.

    b3.png

Note: If you disconnect, all existing associations with customers, broadcasts, and bot builders will be lost. Therefore, exercise caution before disconnecting.  If there are no other changes, it is recommended to simply update the private key instead of disconnecting.

2.  Updating the Private Key: If you’ve made any configuration changes to the application and are unable to send or receive messages, try updating the private key to restore connectivity instead of disconnecting completely and reconnecting again.

SMS FAILOVER

Failover refers to the capability to switch to an alternate communication channel when the primary channel cannot deliver a message.

Jumper.ai supports an SMS Failover mechanism. If you wish to use this feature, please enable and connect the SMS channel. Click here to learn more about connecting the SMS sales channel.

Note: If the SMS channel is unavailable under the Jumper.ai account, connect with your Account Manager to enable the SMS channel as per your plan.
