Question
How to get a RBM agent verified and approved ?
Applies To
- Rich Communication Services
- Messaging
Answer
Ensuring the security and trustworthiness of RCS Business Messaging (RBM), all RBM agents must undergo a verification and approval process before launch. This process guarantees that messages originate from verified senders.
Approval Pathways:
RBM agents can be submitted for approval across multiple carriers. The process and requirements for approval may vary depending on the carrier:
- Google-Managed Carriers: For agents submitted to carriers overseen by Google, the approval process is conducted by Google. They will review the submission and, upon meeting all requirements, grant approval for launch. Google will also contact a representative from the brand to confirm details.
- Carrier-Specific Management: Some carriers handle their own agent approval and launch procedures independently of Google. These carriers may have additional requirements beyond those stipulated by Google.
It is important to note that any agent found in violation of Google's Acceptable Use Policy will be deactivated, regardless of the managing entity.
Vonage is actively collaborating with Google and carriers globally to support and streamline RBM launches. If you have questions or are ready to embark on your RBM journey, please reach out to us.
