Oman SMS Features and Restrictions
Overview
As with many destinations in the Middle East, Oman is a difficult market to deliver messages to. Numerous filters are in place to block SMS, and even legitimate A2P traffic can often be blocked. To prevent filtering, Vonage has direct connections into all networks in Oman.
Sender ID
Sender ID may be overwritten to a random alpha Sender ID to ensure delivery. The networks require all Sender IDs to be replaced with a fixed Sender ID. We will generally use NXSMS.
It is recommended that you register your Sender ID with us to avoid filtering and forcing. This can be done through your account manager.
Content
Due to operator restrictions in Oman, marketing traffic is not permitted and likely to be blocked. There are no additional content restrictions beyond those in our Acceptable Use Policy.
Unicode
Unicode is supported to all networks.
Concatenated Messages
Concatenated messages are supported to all networks.
Other Features or Restrictions
Delivery Receipts
Handset delivery receipts are not always supported.

please note that sender ID is now dynamic for this direct route into Oman!
Dynamic sender id worked when I tried it on Aug 1 from 42202, but now it's no longer working
I just checked again and it's not working for a 42203 route.
