Sender ID Guidelines

Alphanumeric Sender ID

All alphanumeric sender IDs must be pre-registered, unregistered sender IDs will be overwritten to ensure delivery.
Numeric Sender ID Numeric sender IDs are not supported
Generic Sender ID Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc are prohibited.

 

Use-Case & Content Guidelines

Content Filtering

SMS contents may be modified, with brand names being removed or modifying some special characters such as "code," or adding random characters at the front of the message body, etc., in order to bypass the filtering and increase the delivery rate. For messages with OTP codes, it is also possible that the end users will receive a Text-to-Speech voice call delivering the OTP codes instead of receiving an SMS message.

Strongly recommend having your sender ID and contents registered to avoid any changes or delivery issues.
Pre-Registered Transactional Route*

Offers higher quality routes towards Vietnam for notification and OTP messages. This route allows pre-registration of alpha sender IDs and contents. Gambling related brand is not accepted.

To comply with the regulations in Decree No. 91/2020/ND-CP on fighting spam messages, spam emails and spam calls, as well as ensuring information security of International A2P SMS service, the URLs and domains need to be registered with relevant brandnames.

In accordance with Circular No. 50/2024/TT-NHNN issued by the State Bank of Vietnam on ensuring safety and security in providing online banking services, financial institutions are prohibited from sending SMS or emails to customers containing links (hyperlink) to access websites, except upon explicit request from the customer. This applies to credit institutions, branches of foreign banks, intermediary payment service providers, and credit information companies.
Pre-Registered Marketing Route*
  • Offers routes towards Vietnam for domestic brands with Vietnam Certificate of Identity (https://chongthurac.vn/thu-tuc-cap-ten-dinh-danh/). The route allows pre-registration of alpha sender IDs and contents. 
  • Prefix and suffix will be added in message content by operators
  • Message length could not be longer than 425 gsm7 characters for Vietnamobile and less than 460 for the others.
  • Sending time (Vietnam time) for marketing contents:
    • Viettel: 08:00-11:30 & 13:30-21:00 (Mon-Fri), 09:00-11:30 & 14:30-21:00 (Sat, Sun)
    • Mobifone: 08:00-11:30 & 13:30-19:30 (Mon-Sun)
    • Vinaphone: 08:00-11:30 & 13:30-18:00 (Mon-Sun)
    • Vietnamobile & GTel: 08:00-21:00 (Mon-Sun)
