Objective

How to configure JSON Ads.

Applies To

  • Jumper

Procedure

Facebook Ads are amazingly powerful for attracting new customers or interacting with your existing audience.
The key difference between Click To Messenger (CTM) ads and JSON ads is, in CTM Ads you use the ads manager to create the first message sent by FB when the ad is clicked, while in JSON Ads, you set up & customise your message on the Jumper platform and copy paste the JSON code into your FB Ads manager.

Generating JSON allows you to immediately fire off a bot flow leading to the funnel you create on Jumper.

Follow the below steps to Generate your JSON :

Go to Sales channels, tap Facebook and you'll see Generate JSON
Sales Channels → Facebook → Generate JSON

Once in the dashboard, you'll see how a structure is made.

When creating ads that click to Messenger, you can configure a JSON structured message.

This message can include text, images and products among others. We aim to make the most of the available technologies and actions of the Facebook family of apps.

To learn more about the structured message and JSON creation glance through the Facebook links below

  1. Add structured messages (JSON) to ads that click to Messenger
  2. Conversation components on the Messenger platform
  3. About ads that click to Messenger

To design the structure on click to messenger ad you can use the following templates:

  • text
  • product/collections
  • videos
  • and images

Once you add a product/collection to the JSON, when a customer clicks your ad, it'll immediately start walking them through the sale - how sweet is that? 😃

Once you've set up your structure, click on Copy Ad JSON Code. Now you can use this Facebook Ad JSON code and add it to your Facebook Ad Manager.

You can also manually copy the generated JSON code, or simply click on
Copy JSON to clipboard.

Once you have copied the JSON code, then proceed to your Facebook Ads Manager, create a new Campaign and a new ad set (for detailed guidance, please click here) or simply select an existing one.
Note: When setting up the Ads with JSON, the campaign and Ad Set are set up exactly like any other Click to Messenger Ad.
Now, under
Message Template, select Advanced SetUp, and Edit.

The JSON code sets up the first message sent by Facebook Ads Platform alongside the subsequent postbacks and bot payloads

Delete any pre-filled code in the text box, and paste the one previously generated on Jumper dashboard.

You can see a live preview of your ad on the right side of the window.
