Question
Why does my outbound call CLI show as spam?
Applies to
- Voice call
Answer
Due to a third-party service installed by phone manufacturers or end-user to block spam calls such as TrueCaller, GetContact, Hiya, etc, your number could be flagged as spam. How these services flag the numbers are beyond Vonage's control and we recommend having these third-party services be removed.
If it still shows as spam even after removing these third-party services, it is likely that the number has been flagged as spam by the end-users operator. Therefore, the end-user should reach out to operators directly to understand why and where it is being added - the decision is fully outside of Vonage's control.
