Question
Why can't a Long Virtual Number (LVN) be searched and leased after I have removed it from my account?
Applies To
- Long Virtual Numbers
Answer
Vonage has an aging policy where numbers being released, will be kept in quarantine for 90 days, not available in the customer dashboard (CD).
After 90 days, if the numbers are not re-subscribed back to the previous customer, the numbers are now available in CD for others to lease.
The reason for this is we reserve the customer numbers, giving a grace period. If the number was immediately released back to CD and another customer bought it, the previous customer cannot use this number, which might have a business impact.
