The 10DLC regulation involves three types of fees:
- One Time fees (brand registration, external vetting)
- Monthly recurring fees (campaign subscriptions)
- Pass-Through fees (additional charge applied to the actual traffic sent)
Note that some fines can also be applied when violations to the 10DLC regulation are found.
One Time fees (brand level)
Creating a brand is a process that involves registration to a third party company entrusted by US carriers to manage all the 10DLC brands and campaigns. This organisation is named The Campaign Registry (TCR). Please note that we require the brands to undergo an external vetting before being able to create any campaign (except Low Volume mixed and Sole Proprietor campaigns). External vetting is processed by TCR's partners (Aegis Mobile, WMC and Campaign Verify).

Campaign Subscription fees
Campaigns have a minimum duration of 3 months. For that reason, Vonage charges the subscription fees on a quarterly basis. The campaign is thereafter billed on a monthly basis. Please note that TCR does not offer any refund. When cancelling a campaign, the campaign remains active until the next billing period. At the end of the billing period paid for, the campaign is cancelled.
US Carriers, The Campaign Registry and Vonage can suspend temporarily or block campaigns that do not comply with the 10DLC regulation as instructed by TCR. In the event of a brand or campaign being blocked, no refunds will be issued.

Study cases
If you are a customer, planning to send SMS or MMS in the USA, you will have to create at least one 10DLC brand for your company / entity, and at least one 10DLC campaign depending on the content of the messages you plan to send.
Question 1: What type of brand should I create?
Only Sole Proprietors without an EIN / Tax number can apply to a Sole Proprietor brand
Question 2: Do I want to send more than 75 messages per minute (or 2000 messages per day)?
If yes, the Low Volume Mixed campaign is not for you
Question 3: How many campaigns do I need?
Please avoid using mixed campaigns if you do not fit the requirements (min 2 - max 5 different use cases)
Question 4: Do I need a political campaign?
If so, check if you qualify for this use case without a political vet. Otherwise, proceed to request a political vetting
For a single brand & single campaign, the costs are as follow:
$4 - brand creation + $40 - standard vetting
Depending on the campaign use cases selected, from $1.50 to $30 to pay monthly (3 months minimum)
