Question
What are US dedicated short codes and what are the available features?
Applies To
- US Dedicated Short Codes
Answer
US dedicated short codes are provisioned solely for one customer. You will have dedicated access to that short code. Dedicated short codes allow 2-way SMS and MMS messaging. Vonage manages the application process to purchase a US short code for you, or customers can transfer their current short code to Vonage, or customers can lease the short code directly from the USShortCodes.com registry and Vonage will just route the messaging traffic.
All major US carriers also support Toll-Free Number messaging and 10 Digit Long Code (10 DLC) messaging.
If you would like to apply for a Dedicated Short Code in the US contact your account manager.
