To enable Voice calls in France, Vonage requires Customers to state the use case for Voice calls, as per the below
Programmable Voice vs Human Initiated Voice Definitions
- Programmable Voice - An automated Voice Call that is triggered programmatically by an application, script, or API call, and not by a human in real time.
- Common Characteristics
- Initiated by software not a human user
- Often used for notifications, alerts, reminders or bot interactions
- Text to speech or pre-recorded messages
- No Emergency Services support required
- Example use cases
- Appointment reminders
- Customer Alerting
- Tracking updates
- Common Characteristics
- Human Initiated Voice - A live person intentionally initiates a voice call in real time.
- Common Characteristics
- Often involves 2-way real time communication
- Direct voice conversations
- Emergency Services support expected and required
- Example use cases
- Sales Calls
- Customer Service interactions
- Common Characteristics
If Customers have a mix of these use cases, Vonage will have to consider it Human Initiated.
