Symptom

When sending outbound SMS, I received delivery receipt error code 7, Handset Busy.

Resolution

Error 7 Handset Busy means the handset was not available at the time of message submission. As it is a temporary issue, the message should be retried at a later time if received with status Failed. If received with an Accepted status, the message is in the retry scheme and will be retried until its expiration (24-48 hours).
