Question
Will I be charged for an SMS rejected by Fraud Defender Traffic Rules?
Applies To
- SMS API
- Verify API V1 (Legacy)
- Verify API V2
- Billing
- Fraud Defender
Answer
If the SMS is rejected by the Fraud Defender BLOCK traffic rules, no charges will be applied to the specific outbound SMS request.
However, an SMS sent to an invalid destination number will still be charged even though the phone number is covered by the block traffic rules. This is because destination number validation occurs before Fraud Defender is triggered.
