Question

How to create traffic rules in customer dashboard?

Applies To

  • Outbound SMS
  • Voice Call
  • Fraud Defender

Answer

1. Create "allow" or "block" rules based on country code or phone number prefixes, For example, you can allow SMS/Calls from specific countries +44 (UK) or block certain prefixes like UK Mobile numbers +447 (UK Mobile).

2. Individual phone numbers can have "block" or "allow" rules, like blocking a single mobile number 447970123456 or a smaller range like blocking the network prefix 447970.

3. These rules can be layered, prioritizing rules that match a larger set. In case of conflicts, "allow" rules take precedence.

Here is an example of the rules set:

Block 447970123456
Block 44
Allow 447

The precedence of the rules above:

1. Block 447970123456
2. Allow 447
3. Block 44

Additional Information

Please note that the traffic rules are configured based on the API key. If you wish for the rules to take effect for all of your accounts, you will need to configure them for all API keys.
