Procedure

SIP Interconnect enables telephony interoperability for your Vonage Video API powered app.

  • Usage is based on the duration of each call to a SIP endpoint @ $0.005 per subscribed minute.
  • SIP usage will be an additional charge on top of streamed subscribed minutes(SSM) or Participant Minutes (PPM) for regular Vonage Video session.

SIP Interconnect

Number of SIP minutes = n x duration of the call to each SIP endpoint

(where n is the number of SIP endpoints connected to the session)

Case 1

A 30-minute session with 1 SIP end-point and 1 WebRTC end-point

SIP billed min = 30 min

Total SSM* = 30 subscribed min

(*WebRTC Endpoint subscribing to SIP Audio stream)

SIP billed min = 30 min

+

Total PPM = 2x30 = 60 participant min

(*SIP and WebRTC Endpoint are 2 participants)

Case 2

A 30-minute session with 1 SIP end-point and 2 WebRTC end-points

SIP billed min = 30 min

Total SSM* = [(2 x 30) + (2 x 30)] = 120 subscribed min
(*WebRTC Endpoint subscribing to each other (2) and each subscribing to SIP Audio Stream (2))

SIP billed min = 30 min

+

Total PPM* = 3x30 = 90 participant minutes

(*WebRTC Endpoint (2) and SIP endpoint together are 3 participants)
