From November 3rd, 2022, TCR and the Tier 1 carriers are implementing a new set of rules for Sole Proprietor brands and campaigns under the 10DLC regulation. This is the outline of the changes.

New requirements
- Sole Proprietor (SP) brands must be based in the USA or Canada
- Companies that have an EIN number (or TAX ID) must register a normal brand
- SP brands cannot create Political campaigns anymore
- SP brands cannot import Political vets anymore
- SP brands are limited to a single active SP campaign
- SP campaigns are limited to link single phone number (LVN)
- Carriers may update the allowed throughput by November 3rd
- SP brands have a new "mobile_phone" attribute
- SP brands must now go through 2 data validation steps to get verified:
- 1-Data validation (phone numbers, emails, addresses...)
- 2-OTP phone number verification
- New endpoints are created to trigger the OTP verification

Pricing changes
- The Sole Proprietor brands now includes a registration fee of $4
- The Sole Proprietor campaigns now cost $2 per month (previously $0.75)
and in order to incentivize customers to register their brands appropriately:
- Low Volume Mixed campaigns now cost $1.50 per month (previously $2.00)

On November 3rd ,2022
- The new costs apply to all new SP brands and campaigns, including existing
- Existing SP brands will not be charged a registration fee
- Existing SP campaign new cost only apply at renewal date after Nov. 3rd
- TCR will run the step one of the verification (data validation) on all existing SP brands
- If the brand does not pass the data validation, the brand will not be suspended until valid information is provided, but reports will be sent to Vonage so we can take action
- All existing SP campaigns will remain active
- The new costs apply to all new SP brands and campaigns, including existing

On January 12th, 2023
- TCR will go live with the new "mobile phone" Sole Proprietor brand attribue
- TCR will go live with the release of the two new OTP verification endpoints

From January 12th to January 31st
- All existing SP brands are expected to provide the additional mobile phone number
- Brands without mobile phone number on January 31st will be set to unverified
- Once the mobile phone is added, trigger the OTP verification to complete the verification

Match 23rd, 2023
- All SP brands where the status is still "unverified" will be deactivated and removed by TCR
- If you have more than 1 number linked to your campaign, the brand will be terminated
- If the brand is registered outside of the USA or Canada, the brand will be terminated
Vonage dashboard changes
Your sole proprietor brand will now show an additional "Mobile Phone" attribute, required to trigger an OTP verification.

When the "mobile_phone" is provided, you need to trigger the OTP verification.
Please update your brand to add the mobile phone. This will trigger the data validation required for the brand to switch to an "unverified" verification status.
