It is mandatory to use an alpha sender id when sending messages to Austria. *All alphanumeric Sender IDs (the business name shown at the top of an SMS message) used to send messages to Austrian mobile numbers must be pre-registered in the official Sender ID directory managed by RTR-GmbH. If your Sender ID is not registered, your messages will be blocked and will not be delivered to Austrian recipients from 1 October 2026. Key Dates
