Sender ID Guidelines

Alphanumeric Sender ID

Alpha senders are generally supported.
Numeric Sender ID

Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless offered by Vonage's 2-way service.
Generic Sender ID
  • Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc are prohibited. Please use a representative brand or business name to ensure delivery.
  • Sender IDs that contain the operator name (for example, "Orange," "Play," etc.) and sensitive Sender IDs (such as "Police") will be blocked completely.

 

Use-Case & Content Guidelines

Gambling

 Messages with betting odds will be rejected.
Marketing Traffic Before sending any marketing traffic, opt-in consent is required from handset users.

A2P
  • Messages with ads of premium rate services in content will be rejected.
  • Messages that contain premium numbers and short codes in the body of the message will be blocked as messages related to premium services are not allowed to be to sent via A2P connections.

 

Additional Information

P2P traffic is prohibited.

No political, religious, unsolicited promotion. 

Gambling content is allowed only for the licensed providers by the ministry of finance, and the provider must provide consent from the subscriber to receive the messages content.

There are no additional content restrictions beyond those in our Acceptable Use Policy.
