Use-Case & Content Guidelines

2-Way SMS

Please note that 2-way SMS is not supported over either short code or alphanumeric senders, replying to the messages coming from a short code number may cost you additional premium fees.

Spam Filters

Anti-spam measures in local direct connections to Romania networks do not permit sending duplicate SMS (same source and destination and content) within five minutes. This does not apply to parts of the same concatenated SMS.

The Mobile Operators requirement is no fishing traffic and apply penalties in case of fishing. Therefore sending traffic with URL is strictly monitored, and all content that include links must be whitelisted. This is done automatically by our suppliers, but in case of failure to deliver URL in your content please reach out to our *support team for whitelisting the ULRs with our suppliers.

P2P

Local carriers don’t allow person-to-person traffic. Only pure A2P traffic is allowed, for example: marketing campaigns, promotions, banking and financial traffic, authentication traffic, different service alerts. Orange requires that customers insert identification information in the body of the message, such as a valid email address, website, or contact phone number.
Marketing Traffic Before sending any marketing traffic, opt-in consent is required from handset users.

Additional Information

No political, religious, unsolicited promotion, or gambling content.

Due to ongoing election process this year in Romania we would like to remind you that the transmission of SMS campaigns with electoral content is strictly prohibited on all the Romanian networks.

There are no additional content restrictions beyond those in our Acceptable Use Policy.
