Quick access:
If you are reselling our services to your customers, you will need to register a large quantity of 10DLC brands and campaigns (with a separate brand for each of your customers). In this scenario, you have two options to implement 10DLC.
Register as a Vonage reseller
If you only want to use Vonage as your single service provider, and do not plan to migrate to any other service provider in the future, you might prefer to leverage Vonage's 10DLC service.
In this scenario, you are required to register as a reseller to obtain a reseller ID. You will then need to add your reseller ID to all the 10DLC campaigns you register on behalf of your customers.
You can use our dashboard or APIs to register your brands and campaigns, request external vetting, manage your numbers and send traffic on the network, all in one place. We also offer you the option to leverage all our other APIs (Voice, Messaging, Conversation, Verify, AI Studio, Video, and more).
If you would like to proceed with this option, please check our 10DLC reseller guide.
Register as a CSP with TCR (TCR direct)
If you need to use several service providers (e.g. for redundancy), you can also register as a Campaign Service Provider (CSP) at The Campaign Registry (TCR). There are several things to note when registering directly with TCR:
- You will be able to communicate directly with The Campaign Registry (TCR)
- You have a higher level of ownership on the brands and campaigns you register
- You can choose a different supplier for each of your campaigns, independently
- You may be able to request access to additional (restricted) campaign use cases:
- UCaaS low volume
- UCaaS high volume
- Platform free trial
- Sole proprietor
It is important to understand that choosing this route means you also have a greater responsibility to enforce compliance with the 10DLC regulation and requirements when registering brands and campaigns for your customers.
If you would like to proceed, you need to reach out to The Campaign Registry, and create an account on their platform. You will have to go through a review process that involves approval from all the participant Mobile Network Operators (MNOs - also known as "carriers").
Sharing a campaign with Vonage (partner campaigns)
Once you have registered your brands and campaigns with TCR, you will need to elect the Connectivity Network Provider (CNP) for every campaign you register. Please select "Vonage" as your CNP for the campaigns you want us to service. If you need assistance on how to proceed, we recommend you reach out to the support team of The Campaign Registry.
Once the campaign has been shared with us, you need to use our API to import this campaign into your Vonage account.
Vonage's compliance team will review the partner campaign to ensure it is compliant with the 10DLC requirements. When approved, the partner campaign will be sent for review by the carriers and upon another successful review, the partner campaign will be set to active and you will be able to link numbers and start sending traffic.
Note that if Vonage rejects the campaign, the campaign status will be set to "Rejected". You will then need to update the campaign details according to the feedback provided by our compliance team, using TCR's APIs or portal, and then re-submit a campaign sharing request to Vonage.
Importing your campaign into Vonage
Currently, we only allow importing TCR direct campaigns (also known as partner campaigns) via our public API endpoint
POST https://api-eu.vonage.com/v1/10dlc/partnercampaigns/import
{
"account_id": "abcd1234",
"campaign_id": "C123ABC",
"label": "string"
}
If successful, we will confirm the campaign has been imported and provide additional information:
{
"brand_id": "BABCDE",
"campaign_id": "C123ABC",
"sharing_status": "PENDING",
"downstream_cnp_id": "string",
"upstream_cnp_id": "string"
}
Once approved, you can link numbers and send traffic on your Vonage numbers for this campaign. You can use either our public API endpoints, or our dashboard to manage your imported campaigns.
Note that you cannot amend your campaigns (update details or cancel a campaign) using our 10DLC services. We will also have a limited amount of information relative to your 10DLC brands.
It is also important to highlight that some carriers have additional requirements to those communicated by The Campaign Registry. Please ensure that all your campaigns comply with our 10DLC campaign requirements.
Finally, please take care of choosing the right Vonage API key when importing your campaigns. Only the API key specified in the call will be able to assign numbers to the campaigns and send traffic on this number.
If you have further questions around TCR direct campaigns (or partner campaigns), please reach out to our support team.
