Here is how each status is defined:
- Delivered: The message has been successfully confirmed as received by the end user.
- Pending: The message has been accepted by Vonage and submitted to the appropriate message provider, but no subsequent delivery updates have been received yet.
- Failed: The message could not be sent. This occurs if the message was "rejected" due to an issue with the message content or format, or if it is "undeliverable" because a connection to the necessary messaging provider could not be established.
