Sender ID Guidelines
Alphanumeric Sender ID |
Sender IDs are case-sensitive and must contain the brand name. *Pre-Registration is mandatory for the MTN (62401) network. |
Numeric Sender ID |
Numeric sender IDs are not supported unless offered by Vonage's 2-way service. The numeric Sender IDs will be overwritten to ensure delivery. |
Generic Sender ID | Generic sender IDs such as INFO, SMS, NOTICE etc are prohibited. |

Number Format |
Phone numbers in Cameroon are 9 digits. All GSM numbers (MTN, Orange, Nexttel) are preceded by the number 6. For example, (237) 99246025 becomes (237) 699246025. All SMS-MT sent to the operators Orange and MTN must contain recipient numbers of 12 digits starting with 2376. All SMS-MT sent containing destination numbers of 11 digits are rejected and cannot be sent to operators. |
