Question
Understanding Google Guest Cloud
Applies To
- Rich Communication Services
- Messaging
Answer
Google Guest Cloud (GGC) is a solution designed to facilitate the management and monetization of RCS traffic by carriers. We anticipate that many carriers worldwide will establish partnerships with Google to enhance their RCS offerings.
However, some carriers may be slower to adopt RCS or might choose not to participate at all. For these situations, Google Guest Cloud allows users to send peer-to-peer RCS messages, and it also enables our customers to deliver Rich Business Messages (RBM) to users on these non-participating networks.
It’s important to note that Google Guest Cloud is exclusively available for Android devices and is not supported on Apple devices.
