Question
I am sending SMS traffic to the US, but they are getting rejected. They were working fine when I tried them from the dashboard. Why are the messages being rejected now?
Applies To
- Vonage 10 DLC campaign
- SMS API
- Trial accounts
Answer
Check if the Account is in Trial
If the account is still in the trial phase, the phone number will not be registered with the Vonage 10 DLC campaign.
You can simply use the "Try the SMS API - Try it out" option to send trial traffic using the 2 Euros provided for free in trial accounts with the campaigns registered for testing.
10 DLC Becomes Mandatory
It is normal for message sending using the "Try the SMS API - Try it out" option to fail if the account is no longer in the trial phase.
If the account status changes to active (i.e., credits are added), the "Try the SMS API - Try it out" option will no longer work, and registering for 10 DLC becomes obligatory.
