  • Have numbers purchased under Vonage API dashboard.



Procedure

In this comprehensive guide, we will be covering essential topics to connect Voice Channel within Jumper.ai.

The following topics will be covered:

  • Creating Application under Vonage API Dashboard
  • Connecting Voice channel within Jumper.ai
  • Configuring multiple numbers under Voice Channel

 

A. Creating Application under Vonage API Dashboard

1. Login to your Vonage API dashboard, navigate to Applications, then click on + Create a new application



2. Now provide the Name for your application (e.g. Vonage Voice Demo), and click on the Generate public & private key button to get the Private Key file. Ensure that you have the private key file readily accessible for future use when connecting Voice to the Jumper.ai dashboard.



3. Under the Capabilities section, enable the Voice option, change the Answer URL and Event URL type to HTTP POST in the dropdown, and keep the fields empty for configuring the Answer & Event URLs at a later stage. Click on Generate new application.

 

4. Once the application is created, copy the Application ID and API KEY to your clipboard(keep it handy).  Ensure that you have the Application ID and API KEY readily accessible for future use when connecting Voice to the Jumper.ai dashboard.





5. Under the Link numbers tab, click on the Link button for any of the not linked numbers, this will connect the number to your created application (Vonage Voice Demo), copy the linked number to your clipboard and keep it handy.

 

6.  Once linked, you will find the status of your number as Linked to this application.



Note: For the API key and API Secret, you can locate them on your dashboard landing page. If you've already copied the API key in the previous step, feel free to skip this step as both are the same. Ensure that you have the API key and API Secret readily accessible for future use when connecting Voice within the Jumper.ai dashboard.


B. Connecting Voice channel within Jumper.ai



1. Login to your Jumper.ai dashboard and navigate to Sales channels >> Voice.

Note: In case you are not able to find the voice channel option, then kindly connect with your CSM or AM to get it enabled.



2. Here, add the Mobile number, Application ID (App ID), Private Key, API key, API Secret, and App Name (e.g. Vonage Voice Demo), copied while creating the application under the Vonage API dashboard. Click on Submit.




3. You will get the notification, once the voice connection is successfully connected.

 

 

4. Now you will find two tabs visible under the Voice channel, click on the Business settings tab.




5. Copy both the Answer URL and the Event URL.





6. Go to your Vonage API dashboard, navigate to Applications, and then click on the created application (e.g. Vonage Voice Demo).



7. Under the application, click on the Edit button.



8. Under the Capabilities section, add the copied Answer URL and the Event URL from the Jumper.ai dashboard, then click on Save Changes.

 

C. Configuring multiple numbers under the Voice channel

Post configuring your voice connection within Jumper.ai, follow the below steps to connect multiple numbers under the Voice channel in Jumper.ai.

Note: These numbers must be bought via the Vonage API dashboard under the same account.

1. Login to your Jumper.ai dashboard and navigate to Sales channels >> Voice.

2. Click on the Business settings tab.



3. Click on + Add new number.

Note: It is not necessary to link your additional numbers with your Application under the Vonage API Dashboard.



4. Here, you will find the popup, enter the purchased number then click on Connect. Repeat the process to add more numbers to your voice channel.



5. Under Connected numbers, you will find the list of linked numbers to your voice channel.

 

 

6. To remove your connected numbers under Voice, simply click on the delete button next to the respective numbers. If you want to disconnect your voice channel, click on the Disconnect Voice button.
