Addition of Experience Composer to Video API
The Vonage Video API has long offered the ability to compose video and audio streams for broadcast and recording.
The new Experience Composer enables the Video API users to compose not just the video and audio streams, but the entire surround experience (UX) of their applications as well, including whiteboards, chats, branding, and customer elements.
Enabling Experience Composer
To start using Experience Composer, enable the feature for your Vonage Video API account:
- Go to your Video API account and click Account Settings in the left-hand menu.
- In the list of Account add-ons, find Experience Composer and click Add to account.
After enabling Experience Composer for the account, enable it for each project that will use Experience Composer:
- Go to your Video API account and select the project from the list of projects in the left-hand menu.
- Under Project settings, find Experience Composer and click Configure.
- Repeat this for each project.
Experience Composer pricing
Experience Composer usage will be charged in accordance with the prices shown in the pricing table below. Additional charges may apply for use of other Video API features.

* Prices include egress network usage of 48 MB per minute. Additional egress network usage will be charged at $0.0012 per MB.
Three different Experience Composer are possible for the pricing purposes:
- Experience Composer: This topology involves usage of Experience Composer only with interactive video sessions. The video sessions to which the Experience Composer publishes is not connected to any archiver or broadcast composer. This topology is shown in Figure 1.

Experience Composer Broadcast: This price applies to the topology shown in Figure 2. Experience Composer publishes to the video session which is connected to the broadcast content composer.

- Experience Composer Archive: This price applies to the topology shown in Figure 3. Experience Composer publishes to the video session which is connected to the Composed or Individual Archiver.
