- Broadcast
Procedure
Broadcasts can be used for multiple use cases: updating customers on their orders, reminding them for events, notifying account-related updates, or anything else you can think of.
With your WhatsApp Business API connected to Jumper, you can send messages to your contact list from other sources (such as CRM). There are a few things you need to ensure you have in place in order to do this:
- Ensure you have the customer’s consent or opt-in to receive communication from your brand via WhatsApp (see WhatsApp Business Policy).
- Use an approved message template, as only those approved by WhatsApp can be used to send these messages to users (read more about Setting up message templates).
Each messaging platform has policies on when you can reach out to a user, and what kind of messages can you send and it is for you to ensure you adhere to these guidelines. You can refer to detailed information on WhatsApp Template Message Guidelines here.
- Navigate to Automations > Broadcast.
- Select Create Broadcast.
- Give a name for the broadcast, for example, Campaign X FB Live - Reminder 1.
- Select WhatsApp as the channel for broadcasting the message.
- Under Create Message, select from one of the approved Template Messages that you wish to send.
- Select the targeting options under Settings. You have two options available.
- Upload a CSV file.
- Select from Filters.
- Upload a CSV file.
Send Broadcast Using CSV
- Before you upload the CSV, download the CSV format sample file from here.
- Using the Import from CSV option, import the list of users you want to broadcast the message to.
Note: WhatsApp follows some checks around how many messages a particular brand can share in a day or week.
