What happens if the line is busy when receiving a Voice API call on PSTN endpoint?
Question
What happens if the line is busy, engaged, or there is no answer when receiving a Voice API call to a PSTN endpoint?
Applies To
- Voice API
- Outbound Calls
- PTSN Endpoints
Answer
When the Voice API makes an outbound call to a PSTN endpoint, it will ring the number for up to 60 seconds by default. If the end user or their voicemail does not answer up the call, the call will be canceled. If using the ring timeout feature, you can configure when the call will reach timeout status, and terminate.
