Objective
Process to change Multi-factor Authentication
Applies To
- Jumper.ai (New Version)
- Jumper login
- Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
- Security
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enhances security by demanding two or more authentication methods. Both email and Google Authenticator serve as an additional security layer, increasing the complexity for unauthorised users attempting to gain access to your account.
Email-based MFA is convenient for users who prefer a verification code sent to their email address. On the other hand, Google Authenticator generates time-based one-time passwords (TOTPs) on your mobile device, allowing for offline authentication and added convenience.
Using Email OTP or Google Authenticator as an MFA method reduces the reliance on a single factor (e.g., just a password), making it more resilient against various types of attacks.
Please Note:
- Setting up MFA is mandatory
- In case a user is managing multiple Jumper accounts, enabling MFA for one account will automatically enable MFA across all accounts associated with the same email address.
- If you are unable to log in using any of the MFA methods and need to reset your MFA, please submit a support ticket. Kindly include your Jumper.ai Account ID (e.g. jumperliteqainternaltestaccount) and registered email address in the ticket or email to help us process your request efficiently.
Procedure
This process will explain the steps to change MFA for Jumper.ai
-
Once you have successfully logged in to Jumper, you will see the following screen:
-
Navigate to the 'Edit Profile' menu option on the left sidebar, click on it, and go to the 'My Profile' page → MFA section. You will see two options: Email OTP and Google Authenticator.
Email OTP: By enabling this method, you will be required to input the OTP sent to your login email ID before logging in to your account.Google Authenticator: By enabling this method, you will be required to use the Google Authenticator App & enter the code to log in to your account.
You can switch between the two MFA methods at any time, as needed.
Please Note:
- Only one MFA option can be enabled at a time.
- If you manage multiple accounts, enabling any of the options will impact your login for all your associated accounts, and you will need to adhere to the enabled login procedure for all of them. -
If you have selected Email OTP, you will receive a one-time password via email. Enter the OTP received in an email and click "Verify" to confirm Email OTP as your MFA method.
Please Note: If you do not receive the email, please ensure that your IT team has whitelisted either jumper-emea.com or jumper.ai, based on your account instance. Whitelisting the correct domain should resolve any email delivery issues.
Once Email OTP MFA is enabled, the user will receive an email regarding the activation of MFA.
Each time you log in to your account, you will need to enter the Email OTP along with your username and password.

In case you have selected Google Authenticator for the account, the initial setup of the Google Authenticator App is required. Each time you log in to your account, you should access the Google Authenticator app to obtain the Google Authenticator code.
Follow the below steps to Setup the Google Authenticator:
Step 1: Download the Google Authenticator App from the Apple App Store Or Google Play Store.
Step 2: In the App, select the “Add a code” or “+” icon option.
Step 3: Select the Scan a QR code option & scan the QR code shown on the screen.
Important Note: Keep a screenshot of the QR code for future use in case you need to set up the authenticator app on a new device or reinstall the Google Authenticator App. The QR code is only visible once during your initial setup. Ensure that you keep the QR code secure and do not share it with others, as it contains sensitive data.
Step 4: Enter the Google Authenticator code shown in the Authenticator App & click "Confirm" to confirm Email OTP as your MFA method.
Once Google Authenticator MFA is enabled, the user will receive an email regarding the activation of MFA.
The above setup is required only once; you will only need to enter the Google Authenticator code for verification during login.
