Which field in SMPP contains the message ID?

Answer

In the submit_sm_resp command, the message_id will be returned in the message_id field.

In the deliver_sm request, it depends on the SMPP version used, but in general for both 3.3 and 3.4, we send it back on the short_message field.

If you only support version 3.4 and need to receive it on a separate TLV (0x001e) submit a Support request, as we would need to configure this for your account.
